Siberian kitten Ksana at 10 months old, 27 July 2016
It’s time to meet the newest member of the team here at Seacliffe Siberians! Ksana arrived in New Zealand about two weeks ago and is now out of quarantine and has been living with us for a few days. She hasn’t met the other cats yet, but everybody knows there’s a new kid in town: ears are perked up, paws are exploring under doors and there’s a whole lot of sniffing going on.
Ksana was born at Starport Siberians in New Hampshire, USA. She is a 10-month-old seal-lynx-point-with-white Siberian kitten and she is extremely low-allergen.
Her father is Angara Stolichnaya (our Harley is also from the Angara Siberian cattery in Boston) and her mother is Whites Matryoshka of Starport (from our friend Mike White’s Siberian cattery in New Hampshire).
Ksana has been living in Canada for the past six months until she was old enough for the trip to New Zealand, and we know it was hard for her foster mum to say goodbye!
She has settled in very well. She is calm and affectionate, likes to purr and snuggle, and allows herself to be picked up. At the moment she is gradually being introduced to parts of the house so she can learn the territory. She will meet the other cats one by one after a few more days.
