Byron is the smallest of Calina’s ‘B’ litter, but he’s big on personality and growing quickly.
He was the last kitten to be weaned, and showed no interest in solid food for at least a week after the others had started on it. We coaxed and coaxed him until he finally gave it a try – after that there was no holding him back! He is among the first to reach the plate in the morning and evening sprints, plus Judee sneaks him a third meal each day to help him gain a little more weight.
He’s certainly in the normal weight range for his age now. And energy has never been a problem. He plays every bit as intensely as the others, is just as likely to be found on top of our 2-metre tall scratching post, and if it comes to a wrestling match he is not one to back away, despite that sweet face.
