Calina gave birth to five kittens this morning: three colourpoints, a ginger with white tummy and a dark tabby with white feet.
She announced their pending arrival with a couple of meows (she doesn’t usually talk, she tends to purr) then allowed herself to be placed in the birthing nest where the first kitten arrived about 45 minutes later. Within two hours, five had been born, with Calina purring most of the time – she is a wonderful mum.
All the kittens appear healthy and very active, clambering over each other for the best spot for nursing. Weights range from 92g to 111g.
