The four K Litter kittens turned one year old on 31 August. To mark the occasion, here’s a video from when they were just eleven weeks old.

This was a challenging litter in that the four kittens looked quite similar, although we could tell them apart after a while.

The kittens were named Katrina, Kiska, Ksenija (now called Lexi) and Kiko (the only male). Their parents were Grand Champion Cecilia (Cici) and Harley.

I may be showing my age, but I think they used to call this break dancing? It’s Siberian kitten Lexi (ex Ksenia) on Danny and Lucy’s kitchen floor. Apparently she’s not usually allowed into the kitchen, but she was so cute they had to grab the camera.

Isn’t this a great photo of Lexi (ex Ksenia)?

It reminds me of one time when we got a cat tunnel out of the cupboard, and untied one of the two strings that was keeping it coiled. Before we could untie the second string, the cats started playing with it. Stayed that way for months!

Siberian kitten Kiska with her new Super Scratcher Deluxe climbing post

The four K Litter kittens have just turned 4 months old. And today Kiska got a present. Ellie and Norman popped by Seacliffe Siberians to pick up a new 2-metre-tall Super Scratcher Deluxe climbing post.

No sooner that they got home with it, than Kiska was on the upper platform – where she later had a nap.

15-week-old Siberian kittens Ksenia (left) and Katrina, 16 Dec 2016

Our look-alike K Litter Siberian kittens have now all been matched to new homes, based on their allergen levels, and have started packing their bags. Sad for us, but great news for their new families.

Here’s a nice farewell shot of Ksenia and Katrina sitting beside Judee’s computer this afternoon. That funny object in the bed is a cat tunnel that we had tied up for storage. We have a few others in the house so never got around to opening this one for the K kittens – but they like it anyway!

Siberian kitten Katrina at 13 weeks old, 5 Dec 2016

Here’s the fourth and final in our series of K Litter portraits. This photo of Katrina was taken yesterday.

The K kittens all love to chase our various wand toys, but Katrina distinguished herself from the beginning as the most tenacious. She was the first to growl when she caught the toy – and the other kittens knew to keep away! She still plays for keeps, so getting the toy away from her requires some ingenuity. She’s happy to let another kitten catch the toy but as soon is it’s loose again she will be at the bottom of the tackle, going for it!

Katrina has slightly asymmetric marking on either side of her nose, and that’s the easiest way to recognise her.

Siberian kitten Ksenia at 13 weeks old, 4 Dec 2016

Here’s a photo taken today of Ksenia – the only grey-footed kitten in the K Litter.

Ksenia is especially snuggly, loves to sit on a lap (especially when I shoo her off my keyboard), and purrs whenever we look at her. 🙂

Here’s a photo of Kiko taken today as he sat on one of our 2m-tall Super Scratcher climbing posts. As soon as I reached out to pat him he started to purr. He was less impressed when I went for the camera. 😉

Siberian kitten Kiska at 13 weeks old, 29 Nov 2016

Today is the final round of allergen testing for the K Litter, including the gorgeous Kiska pictured above. So it won’t be long before we’ll be saying goodbye to these little ones. That won’t be easy – they are all so nice.

The K Litter will be eleven weeks old tomorrow. Today, Judee introduced them to a new string toy and, of course, they went crazy for it.

The video is about 90 seconds long and at the end you’ll see Katrina catch the toy. Turn up the volume and you’ll hear her growling as she refuses to let go. She’s indomitable.
