Siberian cat Remy at 3 years old, 24 Jan 2016

Here’s another of the birthday cats who turned five years old yesterday. Remy was originally named Barney and is one of our very few ginger kittens.

Jeff reports:

Remy still loves going outside in his harness and lead – sometimes just for a wander around the house and garden, sometimes out for a walk around the neighbourhood. It’s not uncommon for passers-by to comment on how beautiful he is or how how unusual it is to see a man walking a cat. 🙂

He is such a lap cat – if either of us sit down in the lounge, especially with a blanket over the lap, he’s curling up in no time. We love it.

He always sleeps on the bed at night, usually by our legs – but during the colder months either of us may get a polite tap on the forehead during the night which means ‘I want to come under the blankets’. We lift them up by our head and in he comes!

He’ll signal it’s playtime by leading one of us to the closet where his toys are, and one his favourite is a simple ball of foil he can chase.

He greets us enthusiastically at the door whenever we come home, looking for cuddles.

Remy was an adorable kitten too, as you can see from the photo below.

Siberian cat Stoli, 30 Aug 2017

Emily writes:

Happy 5th Birthday Stoli and the other B kittens! Stoli will be celebrating with his favourite dish: tuna, tuna, and more tuna!

We love our big ball of fluff, he is such an integral part of our family. We couldn’t imagine life without him!

(Stoli was originally known as Bailey.)

Got this nice photo and note from Emily. She and Mike, and their daughter Aria, have Stoli (ex Bailey) from our B Litter.

Stoli is well-travelled, having lived with Emily and Mike in Hong Kong for a couple of years before returning to Auckland.

Remy McSwain (ex Barney) at 2 years old, March 2015

It’s been a great weekend here at Seacliffe Siberians, what with our lovely little K Litter kittens AND hearing from owners of our B Litter cats who have just turned four years old.

Pictured above is the magnificent Remy McSwain. The picture isn’t recent, but how can you not relate to that expression – especially if you’re facing Monday morning in just a few hours!

And here’s another photo of Remy that we love, going for a nice safe walk with his adoring humans, Jeff and Anne.

Stoli (ex Bailey) at almost four years old, 26 September 2016

For a couple of years now, one of our Seacliffe Siberian kitties, Stoli, has been living in Hong Kong. But now his family has returned to Auckland (how sensible!) and we have just received this update:

Stoli is back in NZ, safe and well, and enjoying exploring his new home! He is settling in well, and I think very much liking the extra space as well as being around us all again.

We just received a number of photos of Stoli (ex Bailey) who now lives in Hong Kong.

Stoli, a cuddly low-allergen blue lynx point Siberian, is 3 years 9 months old.

He loves spending his days with Mike, Emily and their one-year-old daughter Aria.

Happy 3rd birthday to all the B litter kittens (cats!)
Stoli loves helium balloons. If they have just the right amount of flotation, he chases the string around as it drags on the floor. So a balloon is the perfect present for him. Followed by a salmon dinner!
We hope all the B kitties had a lovely day.
