Oscillot® Cat Fence System available in New Zealand!
- Seacliffe Siberians breeds low-allergen Siberian cats in Auckland, New Zealand.
Our Siberians are pedigreed, and bred from low-allergen lines with no known history of HCM or PKD (heart and kidney diseases).
Their Fel d1 allergen levels are measured (a lab test), so that we can match each kitten to a home where they will not cause an allergic reaction. (Not all Siberian cats are low-allergen.)
Kittens are raised in our home and are part of our family. They are playful, affectionate and, of course, extraordinarily cute.
Seacliffe Siberians is registered as a breeding cattery with the International Cat Association and is a member of the Responsible Breeder Programme. -

The flexible Hoku
This is Hoku at eleven months old. The darkest of our cats, she is like her mother Calina in so many ways – strong, fearless and destined to be the alpha cat.

Hoku the acrobatic kitten
Hoku, the fearless black/brown tabby, has a new trick: jumping on to the top of an open door. Getting up there is amazing enough. Finding it a comfortable place to linger is even more surprising. To be fair, she jumps … Continue reading

Shoe box cats
We went shopping for shoes yesterday. Or, from the cats’ point of view: we went shopping for shoe boxes. Because, if you’re a cat, the only thing better than a box is a lot of boxes.

Hoku is growing
Our H Litter kittens are now five months old, and we have no problem keeping tabs on their growth, as one of them has stayed with us for breeding. Hoku, a black/brown tabby, seems to have inherited her mother Calina‘s … Continue reading

Siberian cats open low-allergen café in Canada
A friend in Ottawa sent us this news story from neigbouring Chelsea, Quebec. Opening soon: a café for people allergic to cats, featuring…cats. Siberian cats, naturally. Michael Lebrun, co-owner of Siberian Cat Café, is allergic to cats. But in 2013 … Continue reading

Harley gets some sun
OK, that’s enough kitten photos. (Well, for a few hours at least). Here’s a photo Judee took yesterday of our kittens’ father Harley as he took advantage of some rare sunshine here in Auckland. He is in his outdoor run, … Continue reading

New photo of old friends Calina and Mari
Mari was our first Siberian cat, and Calina was our second. They are still good friends, which is interesting as Calina is the alpha cat in our cattery and Mari is very shy (guess that makes her the omega cat). … Continue reading

More cats in strange places
So, what is it with egg cartons? Lately several of our Siberian cats have taken to climbing into empty egg cartons. You wouldn’t think that would be very comfortable, would you? Ah well, cats toys needn’t be expensive!

The Felix file
Our young Felix – destined to take over as chief breeder at Seacliffe Siberians later this year – still acts like a kitten despite being more than 15 months old. Or maybe it’s just that cats cannot resist an open … Continue reading

Harley turns four
Our loveable breeding male Harley turned four years old on 29 January. Harley is a blue lynx tabby point with white, and came to us when he was just a few months old from Angara Harlequins in Boston. Harley’s parents … Continue reading
