Many years ago a friend gave us our first Kit Cat Clock, but finally its tail ceased wagging. We still looked at the spot on the wall, long after Kit Cat had been consigned to my workshop for eventual rebuilding.

Then, last month, while a friend and I were walking along a street in Ottawa, we chanced upon the Cats R Us store, which carried the full line of Kit Cat Clocks. Naturally I had to get one just like our original model.

Now we’re back on time, with our delightful Kit Cat Clock.

Many people have been asking us: “did you find a home for Juniper?”

The answer, as you can see from the photo above, is “Yes, indeed!”

You may recall that Juniper’s test results showed he was not a very low-allergen kitten (that’s why we always test!) but fortunately he’s just right for his new family in Wellington.

Siberian kitten Georgy with Sophia, April 2016

We were delighted to receive some photos from Michelle and family, who are now sharing their home with blue tabby kitten Jonty from Cici’s J Litter.

Jonty – now known as Georgy – is an extremely low allergen kitten (he had the lowest Fel d1 test result in the J Litter) and has proved to be a hit with the whole family.

Michelle writes:

Here are a couple more pictures of Georgy. He has become Sophia’s baby! He is so very tolerant of being picked up and cuddled all the time – though Sophia is also good at playing with him and we are all astounded at his leaping ability. None of us can resist him. He seems to have bonded with all of us really well.

The six J Litter kittens are all settling into their new homes now, and we’ve been receiving some lovely photos of them.

Featured above is Klaus, formerly known as Jabber, who now lives with Michael and Lauren in Christchurch. He looks pretty mellow, snuggled up against a warm leg. đŸ™‚

Michael writes:

Klaus is getting on really well. He is starting to get extremely playful and tries to sneak outside at every opportunity, but we are managing to keep him in (I suspect he can smell the neighbours’ cats).

My allergies have not been a problem.

Judee shows the Oscillot system, mounted on our demonstration fence, to a couple of visitors to the national cat show

Judee and I travelled to Palmerston North for yesterday’s national cat show in order to demonstrate the Oscillot® cat fence system. It was a great chance to talk with fellow breeders and cat lovers about this ingenious product.

As responsible cat breeders, we want to do all we can to ensure that our low-allergen Siberian kittens have long and happy lives. We know that many of the people who purchase our kittens do not want to keep them indoors, so we looked for a way to let cats go outside, while keeping them safe from traffic, other cats and dogs, poisons, etc.

That’s when we came across the Australian-made Oscillot® system, which can be installed atop most types of fence. We talked with people who had used it, looked at the quality of construction, and decided to become the New Zealand distributors.

Oscillot® is now available from us throughout New Zealand – and you don’t even have to own a low-allergen Siberian cat in order to own the cleverest cat safety system!

To find out more, visit the Cat Containment Systems website at catfence.nz.

What could be better than a Seacliffe kitten? The answer, of course, is “two Seacliffe kittens”!

It’s always fun when one of our kittens goes off to join another Seacliffe kitty.

In the photo above, 15-week-old Jespa from our latest litter is seen at her new home in Auckland with one-year-old Gustav (Gus).

Jespa is one of two kittens from the J Litter who went to live with another Seacliffe kitten.

Juniper is a handsome seal lynx point from our latest litter. He is very friendly, being the first of the kittens to greet us each morning, and always coming back for more cuddles throughout the day. He loves to chat and has a wonderful purr.

Juniper’s allergen level is mild-normal, so he is suitable for a home where no one is allergic to cats.

If you think Juniper could be right for you, please contact us as soon as possible.

Wow, we love this photo of gorgeous Gustav (Gus) from the G Litter, who is now one year old!

Vanessa writes:

It’s Gus’s 1st birthday! He’s getting bigger every day it seems, and his coat is getting darker as well. He’s still a chatterbox, and makes us laugh all the time. Such a personality – if cats could talk! We have moved recently and he adapted super well, however did escape outside for a quick minute. I nearly had a heart attack! He was all good though, but now meows like crazy to go out. Not going to happen!

The adorable kitten in the photo above is blue tabby Gracie, who now lives north of Auckland. Thanks for the photos Michaella, we’re glad to hear you and the family are doing well.
