Siberian kitten Juniper at 4.5 months old, 22 April 2016

Juniper is a handsome seal lynx point from our latest litter. He is very friendly, being the first of the kittens to greet us each morning, and always coming back for more cuddles throughout the day. He loves to chat and has a wonderful purr.

Juniper’s allergen level is mild-normal, so he is suitable for a home where no one is allergic to cats.

If you think Juniper could be right for you, please contact us as soon as possible.

See more photos on the Juniper page.

Siberian cat ‘Gus’ at one year old, 4 April 2016

Wow, we love this photo of gorgeous Gustav (Gus) from the G Litter, who is now one year old!

Vanessa writes:

It’s Gus’s 1st birthday! He’s getting bigger every day it seems, and his coat is getting darker as well. He’s still a chatterbox, and makes us laugh all the time. Such a personality – if cats could talk! We have moved recently and he adapted super well, however did escape outside for a quick minute. I nearly had a heart attack! He was all good though, but now meows like crazy to go out. Not going to happen!

Thanks to our G Litter families for sending us photos to celebrate their kittens’ first birthday on 6 April. We’ll publish some of them over the next few days.

The adorable kitten in the photo above is blue tabby Gracie, who now lives north of Auckland. Thanks for the photos Michaella, we’re glad to hear you and the family are doing well.

Whanau Living presenter Jenny-May Clarkson meets Siberian kitten JoJo.

We’d like to thank Jenny-May Clarkson and the team at Whanau Living for featuring our Siberian cats on their TV programme this morning.

The segment opens with Jenny-May meeting Judee and Mari, one of our low-allergen Siberians, in a car. This is typically how we introduce people to their kitten, so that they we can gauge their reaction to a particular kitten, unaffected by the other cats in our home.

The programme also features lots of shots of the J Litter kittens at play (they were about 7 weeks old when the video was recorded).

Kia ora Jenny-May!

Siberian kitten Beth goes for a walk by the Wellington waterfront.

We love to see our cats enjoying life while staying safe.

Staying safe doesn’t necessarily mean keeping your cat indoors (although that’s what we do), or even in a fenced yard (although we also sell a great product to cat-proof your fence).

Cats can be trained to walk on a leash, as demonstrated in this photo from Helen, an IT professional who lives in a central Wellington apartment.

Helen loves Wellington, and so does her Seacliffe kitty Beth (a seven-month-old seal lynx point originally named Indigo).

They go for walks every day, and Beth knows that when her leash comes out of the cupboard it’s time for some outdoor fun.

Helen sent us a great series of photos of Beth exploring the city. Here are a few of them:

Well, will you look at who’s all grown up! It’s Elu and his brother Elmo, our first Siberian kittens. They were born in Toronto in 2011, just before we moved back to New Zealand.

These beautiful lads live with Catherine and her family in Oregon, USA and we’re so happy to receive the occasional update and photos.

7-month-old kitten Hoku on top of a door, 6 March 2016

Hoku, the fearless black/brown tabby, has a new trick: jumping on to the top of an open door.

Getting up there is amazing enough. Finding it a comfortable place to linger is even more surprising.

IMG_2138_450

To be fair, she jumps from a nearby table or chest of drawers, but it’s still an impressive display of agility.

She has now done this a couple of times on our office door, and has almost made it onto another door.

Hoku seems to have inherited her mother Calina’s head for high-wire antics. Here’s Calina in her younger days:

Here is the fifth in our series of portraits of the J Litter. This is Jabber, a male seal lynx point.

Jabber is the biggest of the six J Litter kittens, just slightly ahead of his brother Juniper. We can tell them apart (at least when they’re next to each other!) because Jabber has darker paws.

See more photos on the Jabber page.
